Trauma First Aide Associates has completed a series of pilot trainings for members of several companies within the 1st Medical Brigade at Ft. Hood.  1st Med. staff included all ranks from colonel to private from headquarter staff, the Combat Support Hospital (CSH) and combat medics.  

These trainings were provided during pre-deployment cycles with a focus on reduction of long term problems. The goal of the TFA training is to strengthen soldier’s resilience by teaching them skills that will help them both identify and mitigate acute traumatic stress symptoms in themselves and others.

Additional trainings are being planned associated with a significant research project to measure the effectiveness of the training on the resilience of the nervous system.
